What it does
Capture in a tap. Open it and record — no setup, no naming, no deciding where it goes. Put it on your Action Button and you don't even unlock the phone.
A song is more than its takes. Group the hook, the verse and the riff into one song, then write the lyrics underneath them and photograph the chord chart you scribbled on the back of something. Drag any of it into the order the song actually wants.
Find it again. Tag ideas, search them, and let the app suggest tags from what it hears — a guitar, a piano, vocals. Your songs sort themselves by whatever you worked on last, so the one you're in the middle of is at the top.
Nothing leaves your phone. No account, no servers, no analytics, no tracking. Your recordings are yours, and the app has nowhere to send them even if it wanted to.
Coming from Music Memos?
Apple discontinued Music Memos, and a lot of songwriters have been getting by with Voice Memos ever since. This is built for the same moment — get the idea down fast, worry about it later — and then carries on past where Music Memos stopped: the takes for one song live together, with the lyrics and the chord chart beside them.
There's no import. Anything already in Voice Memos can be shared into Write More Songs one at a time, which is worth doing for the ideas you actually care about and not worth doing for the rest.
Who it's for
Songwriters with more ideas than finished songs. If you have a phone full of half-remembered hooks and no idea which of them were any good, that's the problem this was built to solve — I wrote it because it was mine.
